I hate to show my age here, but I remember when the Air Jordan 11 Concord made its debut on His Airness’s feet in 1995. Michael Jordan had retired from basketball and decided to try his hand at professional baseball in 1993. However, the pull of basketball was too much for him, and he decided to make a come-back much to everyone’s delight. When he returned, he wore this model of Air Jordans, which has turned out to be the most popular style of all the Air Jordan sneaker models. The sought-after shoe has gone through many iterations over the years, and the last release of the throwback favorite was in 2011. The styling details of the 2018 Air Jordan 11 Concords has been a closely guarded secret, but here is what the sneakerhead experts on the streets are saying about the new shoes. What to Expect From the 2018 Air Jordan 11 Concords
Sneaker collectors predict that the new Air Jordan 11 “Concord” will look very similar to previous model 11 Concords. No actual pictures of the shoes are available, but this link shows a similar model. They’ll have the famous black and white colorway that features bleach-white mesh and leather trim on the uppers, shiny black patent leather trim on the base, and translucent toe caps. The jumpman emblem is shown on the shoe’s side, and Jordan’s jersey number is displayed on its heel. Of course there’s an element of mystery around this popular sneaker, which is why I’m not sure if it’ll display the number 23 or the rarely seen 45. Either way the shoe seems destined to be a hit with both serious collectors and your standard sneakerhead.
When Do They Drop?
The much anticipated 2018 Air Jordan 11 Concords are expected to hit retailers early December 2018. According to those in the know, the Jordan brand will release nearly one million pairs of its new Air Jordan 11 Concords at $220 per pair by year’s end. You’ll be able to get them in brick-and-mortar stores and e-tail outlets. For my own physical safety, I’d stay away from the malls during the shoe’s expected release date of December 8, 2018. These shoes are so hot that they’re known to cause riots as people camp out at shoe stores, try to break into malls and generally let their bad sides come out in an attempt to be some of the first to get their hands on the latest Air Jordans. Think Black Friday only in December. Well, be safe and enjoy the shoes when you finally get a pair.
